and TV production company specializing in dramatic features, short films,
and documentaries.
Shouting Cow Productions has already produced a hand
full of short films, co-produced several short films and co-produced a
award wining dramatic featurefilm TIE A YELLOW RIBBON by Joy Dietrich.
Many of the short films are already in distribution as well as the feature
film TIE A YELLOW RIBBON which has won 4 prizes for BEST FEATURE FILM
and been nominated for BEST FEATURE FILM at over 30+ national- and international
film festivals.
Shouting Cow Productions profile is to produce films with an edge. This
can be understood in a story way and/or visual way. We want to stand out
from the crowd but in a good way!
Shouting Cow Productions was founded by Thomas Yong in 2003.
Thomas Yong’s Biography
Thomas Yong was born in Seoul, but raised in Denmark. After earning his graduate
degree in International Business, Thomas moved to New York City where he founded
Shouting Cow Productions, LLC, an independent film and TV production company.
With Shouting Cow, Thomas produced the short film BASIC EMOTIONS which
premiered at Los Angeles International Short Film Festival 2004.
In 2003 Thomas associate produced Jae Song's short film HOPSCOTCH based
on a novel by Julio Cortazár, which premiered at Hamptons International
Film Festival in 2004. Thomas also associate produced Georgia Lee’s latest
short film DIAGNOSIS as well as director Justin
Mitchell’s THE GOOD LIFE.
In 2003 Thomas produced the short film COLOR OF A DOUBT:
AN URBAN FABLE directed by Pornsak Pichetshote and Jason
Garrett Lewis and in 2006 Thomas produced THE WILLIAMSBURGERS,
a TV pilot directed by Tony Leonardo.
When Thomas returned back to Denmark, he worked on several TV and Film
productions in various capacities. He line produced the short film TWO directed
by Frederik Sølberg and produced the short film A CHILD directed
by Pernille Rübner-Petersen.
Thomas was accepted to the alternative film school Super16 as a producer,
he began working with director Fenar Ahmad on the short film SELFHATE and
his first year film YOU’RE THE BEST directed
by Ask Hasselbalch got great reviews.
Thomas to date biggest achievment was when he produced the feature film TIE
A YELLOW RIBBON directed by Joy Dietrich.
TIE A YELLOW RIBBON has been nominated as the best feature
film at over 20 international film festivals world wide, and received
4 prizes among the Jury Special Prize for Best Feature Film at Cinevegas
2007, Urbanworld Film Festival 2007 in New York city, BEST FEATURE
FILM AWARD at the San Francisco Women's Film Festival 2007 and DIRECTOR'S
CHOICE FOR BEST FEATURE at the Delray Beach Film Festival 2008.
