THE LIVIATHAN, synopsis

In an attempt to get by, Liv takes a job as the author of a book that takes place on the small island of Bornholm. She moves into an abandoned house whose previous owners all died in a car accident. What Liv do not realize is that it is not a coincidence this exact house is available.

At the same time, Liv falls for the charming and helpful man Thomas, whose past is mysteriously also attached to the house.

She is the former owner of the house but has supressed all of this as a result of the car accident that killed her family. Liv begins to remember everything, but she slowly realizes that the past contains a larger, darker and repressed secrets and that her new boyfriend Thomas is not actually who he appears to be.
