Thomas: Dejan Cukic
Dejan Cukic was born in Yugoslavia in 1966. He came to Denmark at the age of 11. He was educated at the National Theatre School in 1993. He then had several roles in various theater pieces such as the Baltic Gasworks Theatre and at the Betty Nansen Theater. Dejan got his cinematic debut in 1995 when he starred in Lasse Spang Olsen's own debut film OPERATION COBRA. Four years later work Dejan again together with Lasse Spang Olsen with the film IN CHINA THEY EAT DOGS. This time Dejan now got his first leading role and was both his and Lasse Spang Olsen's big breakthrough film. Dejan next success was not on the big screen, but DR-drama Emmy winning success series NIKOLAJ AND JULIE, where he was one of the key role holders and starred in all the series' 22 episodes. A few years later he starred in Jacob Thuesen, Lars von Trier's film THE YOUNG YEARS. He played screenplay guru Selkoff and was awarded a Bodil Award nomination for his performance. Dejan was shortly afterwards selected for the annual Lauritzen award. More recently he was part of the Swedish crime success SNABBA CASH from 2010 and is presently starring, writer and director in the television POKER FACE on TV2 Zulu.
